West Side Presbyterian Church (2003-2005)
6 South Monroe Street, Ridgewood, NJ

40,000 ft2, 2-story new out-of-ground religious facility in place of existing worship facility that burned in a fire in December, 2001 and which includes the reuse of the existing/remaining original fieldstone facade with a new building everywhere else. The new building connects to an existing 3-story administrative/ classroom building that survived the fire and was renovated in 2002. The new project includes a 1000-person main sanctuary along with classrooms, smaller worship rooms, choir rooms, cafeteria and small kitchen facility.

Modeled after the success of the Simon Wiesenthal Center in Los Angeles, the center expanded its human rights laboratory to Manhattan. The 18,000 ft2 interior renovation in the Cellar Level of the Daily News Building houses a professional development multi-media training facility on the dynamics of racism and prejudice in America, international human rights, and the history of the Holocaust through unique interactive educational exhibits.
